This morning’s message from John 21:1-19 focused on the powerful restoration of Peter after his denial of Jesus. Following the resurrection, the disciples were uncertain and searching for direction, and Peter returned to fishing – a familiar place after failure. Despite a fruitless night, Jesus met them at daybreak, providing not only a miraculous catch but also a reminder that without Him, even our strengths fall short. On the shore, Jesus prepared a meal and extended grace before correction, demonstrating His care and presence. In a deeply intentional moment, Jesus asked Peter three times, “Do you love Me?” – mirroring Peter’s three denials and restoring him with purpose through the commands to feed and care for His sheep. This exchange reveals that failure does not define us – grace transforms it into calling. The message emphasized that Jesus does not give up on us, love for Him requires action, and God can use even our failures for His glory. The call remains the same for all believers today: Follow Me, not defined by past mistakes, but renewed through grace and ready to serve.
