Anniversary and Homecoming

On January 28th, 1979, forty-eight people attended the first Sunday worship service of the Destin Church of Christ at the Destin Community Center. With the help of several congregations, its members raised the funds for a building, and construction was completed shortly there after. To remember this historic event and to thank all those involved in furthering God’s kingdom, all members, former members, visitors, families and friends are invited to our homecoming event on Oct 14th-15th, 2023 to celebrate our 44th anniversary. The specific activities are still being planned. For now, reserve the dates on your calendar, make plans to attend and invite your family and friends.

Saturday, 14 October
3:00 – 4:00 – Open Doors and Registration Begins
4:00 – 5:15 – Singing and Devotional in Auditorium
5:30 – 7:00 – Supper in Fellowship Hall – Catered

Sunday, 15 October
9:00 – 10:15 – Worship in Auditorium (Children’s Church as Normal)
10:30 – 11:30 – Coffee, Donuts and Breakfast Finger Foods in Fellowship Hall
11:00 – 12:00 – Hope Medical Center Tour
5:00 – 5:45 – Beach Devotional
5:45 – 7:00 – Hotdog and chips Supper on the beach
